For about 3-4 months all I could think about was decorating baby P’s nursery and transitioning big sister’s room into a big girl’s room. I stalked Rate my Space on a daily basis and started reading blogs for the first time in my life. I am still not totally finished or thrilled with the two rooms but they are what they are for the moment.
For baby P’s nursery I was totally inspired by this bedding at Serena & Lily. Their designs and fabrics are to die for. Since we were reusing all of big sister’s furniture I thought the splurge on the bedding was ok, plus I DIY’ed just about everything else in the room. I wish the upstairs bedrooms in our house had more architectual interest, but it’s new construction and there is NOTHING interesting about the rooms, so getting some sort of moldings in the rooms is still on my to do list. But for now here are how things turned out.
Once I actually hang the art work in big sister’s room I will post those pictures, too.
DIY elements:
- Cornice Board
- “P” above the crib
- fabric covered metal buckets in bookcase
- waste basket
- photos above changing table
- Damask on Green Canvas
