Have you ever heard of “Trunk-or-Treat”? I hadn’t either until we moved to North Carolina 2 years ago. At R’s daycare every year for Halloween they hold a “Trunk-or-Treat” party where parents volunteer to set up their cars in the parking lot, open their trunks or tailgates (it’s mostly SUVs and Minivans), decorate them, and hand out candy while the kids go car to car Trick-or-Treating! Everyone from the infants (in the quad strollers) to the after school kids get in on it and it’s a lot of fun. For the last 2 years I have just been a spectator, there to take photos of the little ones (mainly my little one), and to help out the teachers. Well this year I have volunteered to host a trunk, EEK! Of course I, being {kinda} crafty, thought, “wouldn’t it be so much easier to hand out the candy if it was already prepackaged in little cello bags with a cute topper instead of having kids one by one stick their hands in bowl!” So, I created a bag topper…and then proceeded to print out 38 sheets of them and then use my paper cutter to make those 38 sheets into 151 bag toppers (I messed up one, whoops)! That’s right I have to assemble about 150 bags of candy for this event! Probably should have considered that BEFORE I went ahead with my great idea, but it’s gonna be cute, so it’s worth it, right?!? So here is how they came out and because it’s really fun to share, you can also download the bag toppers for your own personal use! you can download it HERE!
I also have to make some decorations (along with some I purchased from Target) to decorate my trunk, and I found this old craft pumpkin in an upstairs closet that had a bunch of holes in it (we used one of those Mr/Mrs. Potato Head pumpkin kits) and thought that I could make it work somehow. So I opened up my Silhouette SD software and cut out a little jack o’lantern face and a bunch of circles, and this is what I came up with. It’ll do.

They are adorable! Do you just print the out on a regular printer though?
Stacy @ She's {kinda} Crafty says
@Birdie3008 – I print them out on card stock I bought at Office Depot on my regular ink jet printer, then cut and fold in half.
(I bought a pack of the cardstock, about 500 sheets for $15, about 5 years ago and just ran out this week, it’s the best craft invest ever)

Hi Stacy!
These are just what I was looking for for my son’s party @ school. Thank you!
I was wondering what software/program did you use to design these? I’ve tried a few with little luck.
Thanks!
