We’re getting ready around here to take a little {Fall} Family Vacation! Heading down to Orlando and Gainesville later this week to do some Mickey and some Gators! Now what vacation would be complete without at least 1 homemade craft item to bring? Well how about 2!
I decided to put Halloween and Autumn decorating on the back burner this week for a couple sewing projects, some monogrammed stationary for a wee little one, and to finish up some shirts I promised people weeks ago, whoops!
Can I just tell you how much I LOVE my Silhouette SD machine. It is magical! If you haven’t heard about them yet check out their website. It will be on your Holiday gift list about 4 minutes into the website! For the wine glasses (which are plastic b/c well, they are for tailgating, and there is no need for glass at a tailgate!) I used Orange and Blue glossy vinyl and for that added southern charm I added some {BLING}! It took pretty much ALL my power not to add some kind of boa to the bottom, but I resisted.
For the Minnie Mouse shirts it was hard to find short sleeved shirts here in Charlotte so I had to use the dark pink for R’s shirt even though I’d rather have white. Maybe I’ll hit the jackpot at Target today and actually find a short sleeved white shirt, but I doubt it. So I took what I had and used black {FLOCKED} heat transfer for the head and hot pink T-shirt Vinyl for the letters and the bows. I think they turned out AH-dorable, but I could be biased!
The Gator shirt was made using blue {FLOCKED} heat transfer as well as orange and the Packers shirt was a good old fashion ink jet heat transfer that I had the silhouette machine cut a “G” out of the center as well as cut the circle shape. I hope the little boys I made them for love them as much as I do!
T-shirts {AND} Wine Glasses!

Love the Minnie shirts. Can you tell me more about where you got the pattern? I don’t have the Silhoutte, but I do have the wishblade (that is unplugged collecting tons of dust). I would drag it out to do a shirt like that for my daughter’s 3rd birthday next month.

Hi Kim, The Silhouette software (the ROBO version) has a great option where you can import any jpeg and after a little playing around it will make your graphic an outline. From there you can ungroup the lines and cut all the pieces out separately. From there i just cut the bow out of pink heat transfer and the minnie head out of the black flocked transfer. Not sure how the wishblade works or if that even helped you. You can email me at sshaycock@gmail.com if you need any help.

I absolutely love this!! I had been dreaming up this SAME idea except a boy version for my son to wear at Disneyland in a couple of weeks. So it’s fun to see this!! Thanks for sharing!
