I would say that the vast majority of e-mails I receive are from lovely ladies asking me about how I design my party printables, mainly party circles or party logos, whatever you want to call them. My answer is that I use a stationary program called Printing Press Extreme sold by Mountaincow. I have been using their software for 4 years and I am pretty quick at it these days. It is a very intuitive program if you have any intermediate knowledge of Window’s Office programs. However, it is not cheap! It’s not photoshop expensive but it’s not free. If you want to know more details about it you can email me (click the link on the right hand sidebar).
So for those of you who don’t have a fancy software but want to know how to make basic party logos or circles here is a brief tutorial using Power Point. I have Microsoft Office 2010, so it might look a little different than yours if you are using an older edition. For this project you are going to need PowerPoint, some type of graphic background picture file (I used these AWESOME freebies from Sprik Space – in the chevron pattern) and having a cool font or 2 to pick from never hurts.
I did this tutorial in screen shots. You will see that half way through my pattern changes color – I didn’t know where I was going with the party circle until I got to the text part and had to go back and change the picture that I was using as my shape fill. It is so easy to make one basic logo and then make a copy of it and change the backgrounds or outline colors and shapes.
So if you have any further questions leave a comment below and as long as you have your e-mail enabled in google friend connect/blogger I will write back to you as soon as I can! Also, I have included 2 files you can save and print if you’d like.
Good luck!

This is a great tutorial. Thank you! I tried a different jpeg file than you suggested and it was stretch and you couldn’t see the print very good. Do have you any suggestions or tips for that?

THANK YOU SO MUCH! I have not found a single person that could help me without charging me $30 just to design what I need. My daughter requested a party based off of the book Olivia Acts Out. She wants Olivia the Pig in the cow costume, which means everything is custom. So you are a HUGE help to mom’s like me who want to give their babies what they want, but cannot afford to go over their budget. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!
