Remember when you switched your baby from the big ol’ cushy infant carrier attached to a stroller to just an umbrella stroller and you were SO frustrated that you couldn’t get enough sunshade for you little minnies? No matter what you did, if you were facing the wrong direction you babe couldn’t sleep or was blinded by the light? Well last year when we took our then 5 month old and 2.5 year old to Disney in their new fancy double Maclaren stroller I came up with a solution! I attached suspender clips to ribbon on both ends and was able to hang a light weight blanket off the existing sun shade that allowed Baby P to sleep comfortably all through the park! They are super easy and economical to make, plus the design choices are only limited to the kind of grosgrain ribbon you can find! I just made these mail out to a friend (I actually made 2 sets since she also has a double stroller and 2 cute kiddos who need some shade!) Oh – and if it’s summer and you are worried about the blanket trapping the heat you can use a nice muslin blanket/swaddler, even though the blanket hanging from the sunshade still allows for a nice cool breeze to travel into the stroller area.

This is such a fantastic idea! This is always a problem for me and I’ve tried draping a blanket over but it never stays. They should sell these in stores 🙂
