One of the very first items that I pinned on Pinterest was a cute, keep ’em busy, kind of toy. Well 1,083 pins later I finally got around to making it! The hardest supply for me to come up with was the plastic water bottle. I finally found one at Publix on my recent road trip to Atlanta to attend Bloggy Boot Camp. Now that I had all my supplies in place I was ready to go. EXCEPT, that I kind of wanted to “make it my own” by changing up some of the supplies. I had chosen to use Christmas & Winter themed buttons as my object so I though it would be REALLY cute to use the fake Styrofoam snow pellets you would use to make filled glass ornaments, you know, so it would look like snow. Boy was I ever wrong! That was a fail and a half. From the moment I opened the back of pellets and they went FLYING across my office, to when I poured in my buttons and they all just sank to the bottom, to having to use water to get all those nasty little buggers out of my plastic bottle therefore having to wait until the bottle dried out ONE.MORE.TIME. It was just a huge fail! I wasn’t going to let that get me down though. I still knew there was a way to make it my own. Then I remember the bag I had bought of Poly-Pellets I had tucked away in my fabric supplies! EUREKA! The Poly-Pellets don’t go flying across the room, they don’t allow all the object to sink to the bottom and they still give the illusion of winter! And of course when I was done I had to add some ribbon to the whole thing, or else it just wouldn’t be signature Stacy! This project can be done on the cheap if you stick to rice and found objects, but I got my “objects” on sale and already had the Poly-Pellets, so the only cost was the $2.29 bottle of water! The cashier asked me if $2.29 really tasted better than $1 water. I told him I didn’t care, I wanted the bottle!

I am having a heck of a time trying to find the right water bottle. Do you remember the name of the water or have any other ideas as to what could be used?
