Easy steps to Glittered Witch Hats:
Then go ahead and place your hat in the box and get to glittering. (You’ll notice that in this photo the brim is the same color as the bottom tier. However, in the final picture you’ll see that I decided I wanted the brim black. You can easily Mod Podge right over your glitter and change the color or add to bald spots, it’s very forgiving.)
Continue adding Mod Podge and glitter, in lighter and lighter shades, until you’ve reached the top. I chose 3 different purples for my hat because that’s what I had on hand, you can do as few or as many as you’d like.
I used the same technique to make the striped hat – I marked off my guidelines, Mod Podged one stripe at a time, added the glitter, and moved on to the next stripe! I used a chunkier glitter on the striped hat and a very fine glitter on the Ombre hat.
Black pumpkin witch is a little sassier than her orange sister with her hat all up straight.
This craft would be a lot of fun to do with your kids, maybe just outside though!
Happy Halloween!
